For Holiday 2019, the Elders Collection features imagery that ranges from utopian areas of respite to imaginary wellness centers. These designs support our mission to educate and expand audience mindsets through fictional and non-fictional narratives.
We asked legendary imagemaker, Melodie McDaniel, to help us champion five significant community leaders who’ve played integral roles in building our local neighborhood within Los Angeles. By shedding light on the stories of Paris, Sika, Assata, Baba, and Mama Nene, we aim to bring awareness to the quickly changing landscape of this community, gathering centers for the exchange of information, ideas and kinship.
